Benefits and Improvements:

A9F & Z9F models update the OS version from Android 9 (P) to Android 10 (Q). Here are some of the changes Android Q provides:
- Changes the Settings menu design
- Updates the Soundbar User Interface integration and Easy Initial setting
- Enhances voice control for Google Assistant
- Adds a notification for user on how to enable Parental Control
- Improves the overall performance of the TV

Notes:

- Android TV models do not become Google TVs by updating the OS version

Install the update:

- Download the update file to your PC.
- Verify the downloaded file name and size (see the File Info section).
- Extract the downloaded file to a location on your computer you can easily find. Note: After you extract the downloaded file, you will find another zip file (sony_dtvxxxxx_xxxx_xxxxxx.zip).
- Insert the USB flash drive into your computer.
- Go to the location where you saved the extracted file and copy, or drag and drop that file to the root directory of your USB device. Note: The root directory is the first or top-most directory of the device, which contains all the other folders.
- Remove the USB flash drive from your computer.
- On the TV remote control, press and hold the POWER button for at least 3 seconds, and then select Restart. Note: Depending on the TV model and OS, you may need to press and hold the POWER button for at least 5 seconds, or until the Power off message appears.
- Make sure that no other USB devices are inserted into your TV.
- Insert the USB flash drive containing the extracted file (sony_dtvxxxxx_xxxx_xxxxxx.zip) into a USB port of the TV set. Note: If the TV has multiple USB ports, any of the USB slots can be used.
- Once the USB flash drive has been detected, a series of different messages will appear on the TV set. Follow the on-screen instructions. Note: If the messages do not appear automatically, use the remote control to turn the TV off and back on again. 
- The update process will begin, the POWER indicator on the TV will begin flashing white, and the update progress screen is displayed on the TV.
- After several minutes, the TV will turn off and then turn back on to complete the update. WARNING! During the software installation process, please do not remove the USB device, do not turn off the TV, and do not disconnect the TV from the power supply
- The TV will restart automatically once the update is completed.
- Carefully remove the USB device from the USB slot.
