Extron MLS 102 VGA Stereo Audio Switcher Firmware 1.04

Fixes:

- Fixed Issue (originated in v1.03) – Configuration Settings would not save –Through continual power cycles, setting within the switcher would revert back todefault. This issue has been resolved

Installation steps:

1. Download the firmware file.
2. Connect a cable between the MLC/RS-232 Power port of the MLS and the serial (RS-232) port of the PC.
3. Start the MediaLink control/configuration program.
4. From the File pull-down menu in the upper left corner, select Update Firmware. The MediaLink Control Software closes, and a separate utility program opens and displays a window indicating the current firmware version.
5. Click Upload. You are prompted to select the firmware file that you downloaded in step 1. Click OK.
6. When the browser window opens, locate and select the firmware file, then click Open to upload the firmware into the MLS. The firmware update file must have a filename extension of .s19. If the file does not have that extension, it will not work properly.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions. When you recycle power, power off the switcher for at least four seconds, then restore power.
8. When the firmware uploading is complete, a dialog box appears and asks you:
- to exit the firmware update utility program if the new firmware loaded correctly (if the correct firmware version is displayed in the program window, as shown in the example below)
- to run the utility again (Upload Firmware File, see step 5) if the firmware didn’t load correctly. Follow the on-screen directions to complete the process.
